A-Gas has added Genetron® Performax™ LT to its ranges. It is a suitable replacement for R22, R404A & R407A in medium and low temperature commercial refrigeration. R407F offers a good combination of capacity, efficiency and GWP.
Genetron® Performax™ LT is a top performing low and medium temperature HFC refrigerant with a zero ODP (ASHRAE number R407F). As the name implies R407F is a derivative of the R407 family – R32/R125/R134a.
Its higher R32 content gives a higher capacity than R407A/C and it has the lowest GWP of all commonly used blends, at 1825 it is half that of R404A. It also has an A1 safety classification and is non-toxic and non-flammable.
The benefits of R407F are:
• Potential R22 replacement in medium and low temperature applications, thus eliminating the need to carry multiple cylinders in the van
• Comparable capacity and mass flow compared to R22, therefore little adjustment to the expansion valve is required
• Lower GWP and higher efficiency compared to R404A and R407A means a lower carbon footprint
• Suitable for both retrofits and new equipment
